Project Overview
Having worked on several local restaurant and bar branding projects, we were asked to work with The Cemist Bar – A local, upcoming bar in Oswestry, Shropshire. Our project was to come up with a vintage, elaborate image for our client, focusing on calligraphic typeface and delicate style. We were tasked with creating not only a logo that was eye-catching and relevant, but also one that can be implemented across web, print and social media.
Adapting to the classic style of the 50’s, we came up with a retro, vintage-style logo, using script type and ornamental flourishes. The logo has since been implemented within their elegant web build, keeping the brand style consistent throughout. The mobile friendly web design is user friendly and up to date with current market trends.

Wordpress Web Design
As with all of Now Web Design’s Website projects, we have used WordPress CMS to create this vintage looking yet modern website for The Cemist. With a built in Facebook events plugin, our client’s website now automatically updates when new events and promotions are added to social media. Whether this be one of their live music nights, or a special offer.
The Cemist Website Design
Having experience developing and building several other restaurant and bar websites, such as Townhouse (another local Oswestry Bar & Brasserie), we felt confident in accomplishing this project to a high standard. Using vintage style illustrations and colour schemes throughout to keep the branding consistent with the earlier designed logo, this responsive web design is user friendly and responsive across devices.

Logo Design & Branding
The calligraphic typeface used within the logo design emphasises the vintage feel that our client was aiming for. The ornamental flourishes and retro illustrations have since been used within printed materials we have also provided for our client. This includes a range of menu designs, posters, building signage and window graphics, and also their social media marketing, which we frequently design for The Cemist.
Social Media Adverts
We always ensure that our client’s brand is always consistent keeping a professional image.
